ABOUT GOD, CREATION & THE BIBLE God is the Father, Jesus is the Son of God and was apart with God, and that Holy Spirit is the third part of the Godhead. They have always been and will always be. They were all involved and took part, together in creating everything that exists today. The Bible is the unerring Word of God that was given through 40 authors over 1600 years without contradiction. Thus, the Bible is true and without fault. ABOUT JESUS CHRIST In the Beginning was the Word and the Word was with God and was God…The Word spoke everything into existence, was the spoken Word of God and the Word became flesh and dwelt among us, full of grace and truth. John 1 and Genesis 1. Jesus has always been, is and will always be. Jesus gave up heaven and equality with God to come and save mankind. Philippians 2. Jesus’ coming has been planned before the foundations of the earth, before creation ever took place. At the right time in history Jesus came, born of a virgin. Jesus fulfilled every prophecy made about Him in the Old Testament. He came and lived on this earth for about 33 years, willing died on a Roman cross to take our sins away and rose from the dead on the third day, never to die again! Jesus now sits on the right hand of God, interceding on our behalf. He is our intercessor and defender. He is coming back on the cloud of the sky and every eye will see Him and hear the call and the righteous will be called up to meet Him in the clouds of the sky. He will take us home to Heaven with God for eternity! ABOUT CHRIST’S CHURCH AND
BEING SIMPLY CHRISTIANS As the Bible is the Word of God and is complete, our call is to simply believe and do what the Bible says. Simple New Testament Christianity and being part of the Church that Jesus came to establish and died for is not difficult in concept, but demands all of our life surrender to Jesus. The Gospels, Matthew, Mark, Luke and John teach about the coming of Christ, about Jesus’ life, teachings, His death and resurrection. The Gospel of John is particularly good about helping people come to faith in Jesus as it says at the end of the book, “these things have been written that you may believe that Jesus Christ is the Son of God.” We are called to hear the message, the good news, and let us come to believe that Jesus is the Son of God so that we may have faith in Jesus Christ and obey Him. There is only true Biblical faith with obedience. We are to repent of our sins – to turn from our old life and turn to Jesus. We are to be baptized for the forgiveness of our sins and to receive the gift of the Holy Spirit and raised from our spiritual grave to walk in new life. Then God adds us to the saved, to His Church, Acts 2 and Romans 6. Jesus came establish His Church and Kingdom and He is the head of that Church according to Ephesians 1 and Colossians 1. We as Christians are the Body of Christ, the Church. We know how to worship and function as His Church by what is commanded, shown and taught in the New Testament of the Bible. In all things we are to glorify God. Our mission is basically two fold: to strengthen the Body, the Church and to take the good news of the salvation of all souls by the blood of Jesus Christ to the whole world. THIS IS A VERY BRIEF SUMMARY I realize that to fully understand what God wants of us is a life time study and application of His Holy Word, the Bible. I, at any time, would be thrilled to share with anyone what the Word of God says, not as a challenge, but as sharing of insight and understanding of the Word of God. Please contact me with ANY questions that you may have about these brief thoughts that I have shared in this writing or any other spiritual things you would like to talk about. I may not have the answers, but we can go to God’s Word together and search out the answer. |
