Cultural Training

We have had 6 yrs of established contacts & relationship building by college teaching here before.

Christians & Friends have established a network. A local Christian said, “It’s who you know in Ukraine.”

I must be a learner. Ex. Why are faithful Christians, faithful? Know their values, their thinking, & reasons for doing things. Know the hearts & lives of the people.

Build Christ’s Church in Ukrainian culture, not American. Songs, etc. fit them as ours do us.

It will take an additional 1 to 2 years after extensive language training to really fit my life into the culture.

Teaching in School #11

First month or so to establish exactly what is wanted & needed.

Be teaching at least 1 Bible Class a day to 1st through 11th grades for 5 or 6 days a week. 6 day school week.

Possible expansion to other schools especially to #10 – where we have also taught.

Teach a special class to teachers. Already teachers are requesting Bibles.

As students & teacher come to Christ, teach them to teach the Bible as well.

Bring in fellow workers from states to train & expand work to other schools and other cities.

Prison Ministry

14-18 yr old

Start by going 1 to 3 times a week. This is a benevolent work as well as evangelism.  Good for involving Ukrainians as well as my joy of service in this work.

By serving & teaching in this ministry, we have shown local non-Christians we care.

This type of work can open many doors to further service & evangelism outreach.

One on One Bible Studies

Start nearly right away. People on waiting list: friends, parents of students & students.

Patience SO important to bring souls to Christ & His Church & not just get people wet.  Build strong Christians & Church. Teach people what it means to be a Christian and a part of the Lord’s Church.

Train others to train others also!

Multiply through small group Bible studies & one on one Bible Studies.

Key to growth is not to get caught up in programs, but to teach people how to get into the Word and stay there and how to pray & fellowship for continued spiritual growth.

Local Church Involvement

Be a member, an observer, a servant and a learner.  Win confidence and respect of local churches.  Get to know the people.  Spend time with them in their homes & they in my home.

Seek local advice in coming to answers for church & service. Be a guide and a teacher.

Let individuals assist me to see if my teaching makes sense in their language & culture.

Start to train & develop church leaders.  How long does it take to grow Godly elders?

Begin to look for greater spiritual and numerical growth in local church and possible expansion to new churches in Kremenchuk and beyond.

Always be open to new doors of opportunity to evangelize and serve.
